Wiegand Electric Company marketing under the Chromalox name, this company was aquired by Emerson Electric Company in 1968. Emerson split the company into two divisions and we became Emerson Heating Products under the Emerson Appliance Solutions & Emerson Climate Tech Solutions groups, Acquired by the Swedish company NIBE in 2011 we became Backer EHP, and with the acquisition of Springfield Wire in 2012 we began marketing under the name Backer Springfield. Through all of the name changes one thing has not changed, our commitment to quality and providing the best value in electric heat for our customers.
